Hi, I’m Erica! Thank you for visiting my website. I’m so glad you’re here. I believe the client/therapist relationship is the most important aspect of therapy. This is where you decide whether or not I am the right fit for you. Let’s face it, that is really important. Research shows that your chances of feeling better are strongly tied to your relationship with your therapist, whatever the specific problem may be. I strive to provide the best services to those who are seeking relief. Here’s a little bit about who I am and my approach to therapy to help determine if I’m the right fit for you.

From a young age I had a passion for helping others. After high school I attended California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), San Luis Obispo where I received my bachelor’s of science in Psychology. From there I went on to pursue my master’s degree in social work at the University of Southern California (USC).

After graduation I worked with children, teens, and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I have experience working with clients age four to eighty. I have also worked as a school based-therapist and am well versed in many childhood and adolescent disorders. I am advanced trained in the Gottman Method for couples therapy as well as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

I offer individual and couples therapy to support the treatment of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, relationship issues, life stress, disordered eating and grief/loss. I work collaboratively with my clients to instill hope and provide a sense of understanding in a time when you feel most alone. I believe human beings are inherently resilient and have a tremendous capacity to heal.

In addition to being a therapist, I’m also a wife and mother. I have a passion for art and love to paint, draw and write.  In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, staying active and exploring San Diego.
